The Division of Engineering Technology at Oklahoma State University (OSU) seeks applications for the position of tenure-track Assistant Professor of Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct research, teach undergraduate or graduate courses in fire protection and safety, mentor students, be involved in service to the university, and their profession. With regards to research opportunities, the state of Oklahoma is a leader in the petrochemical, aerospace, energy, defense, and agricultural industries. Applicants with expertise (academic research and/or industry experience) in one of more of the following fields are encouraged to apply: industrial hygiene, industrial/occupational safety (including compliance programs), explosion protection/explosives/munitions, fire protection engineering, fire dynamics/modeling, process safety, or other similar fields.
